Hi there - I'm an inspiring storyteller
I am Rayna Pytlik, a senior undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. I am a double major in Advertising and Public Relations and Journalism, with a minor in Sociology.
I’m passionate about creating meaningful and impactful storytelling. My academic work has strengthened my ability to interview, research and communicate across many different media platforms to tell the stories of Nebraskans. I tell stories through photography, sharing stories digitally and producing Nebraskan experiences through long and short-form audio.
Most recently, I was a culture reporter for the Daily Nebraskan, where I told the stories of students and campus events. I covered stories ranging from the Lincoln Exposed music festival, Omaha Fashion Week to student hobbies and interests.
I have also written for Heartland Pulse, a UNL creative content magazine where I worked with a team to share how Nebraskans live, work and play. I worked closely with a team creating storytelling elements to share captivating, Nebraskan stories.
I was also a part of UNL’s non-profit advertising agency, Buoy. I worked closely with a team, gaining hands-on experience communicating with clients, understanding client needs, meeting deadlines and creating deliverables.
